Visit Leeds

We began working with Visit Leeds (our home city’s DMO, or Destination Management Organisation) in 2021, at a time when the travel industry was still recovering post-pandemic.

 

We were tasked with bringing visitors to the city, both local and national. That meant raising awareness of Leeds as a staycation destination for families and couples, and showcasing all the city has to offer.

 

As we approached LEEDS 2023, the city’s Year of Culture, our activity shifted to showing people what Leeds has to offer in the cultural space – that Leeds is a city with culture around every corner, and accessible culture at that.

 

We executed a variety of PR campaigns tailored to those objectives, including seasonal roundups of the best things to do in the city, survey pieces on the UK’s attitudes towards travel and staycations, school holiday roundups and highlights of upcoming LEEDS 2023 events.

 

We also executed a robust content and SEO strategy aimed at increasing users and dwell time on the site, and reducing the bounce rate. All grounded in thorough keyword research, with subsequent blog creation utilising these keywords to create valuable assets to link back to through our PR strategy.
