Where the city gathers.
White Cloth HallThe Opportunity
On the site of one of the City’s most historic buildings, White Cloth Hall’s stated mission is to become a fixture of Leeds’ food and drink scene.
The Services
The Challenge
With the refurbishment and grand launch approaching, the team behind the project (which also happens to be the team behind Whitelocks, Leeds’ oldest pub) came to us for support in building the venue’s profile through social and PR.
The Approach
Having worked closely with the team to articulate the key messages and philosophies driving the project, we created a channel strategy and media relations approach designed to build excitement and expectation ahead of the launch, while landing key messages and establishing a distinct brand tone. That meant creating a narrative around how the refurb was progressing while gradually releasing details about the food and drink offering, like the network of regional suppliers and the vendors set to take up residence within the food hall.
The Delivery
The social activity included a teaser campaign and a launch event with audience-relevant influencers, alongside an always-on strategy that included community management and organic and paid activity. The PR worked in tandem, focusing on delivering interviews with key members of the White Cloth Hall team.
The Results
We were able to drive really strong results across the board, not just in terms of the social metrics (a huge increase in engagement and impressions in comparison to the period before our work) or the widespread PR coverage, but also in terms of the launch event attendance and follow up posts – a very tangible barometer of the campaign’s success.
