More treat, less sweet.
Fast growing food company B Healthy – a division of Mr Bagels – tasked us with a project to create a new chocolate confectionery brand specifically for diabetics, so they too could enjoy a sweet fix.
One of the challenges was how to launch a new brand in a relatively niche (diabetic) but crowded (confectionery) market. Our answer? Developing an exciting design and a tone of voice that’s fun, friendly and reassuring.
The first step was to decide on a name and a concept that would tie it all together. Tasking our studio team with designing a logo for each of the shortlisted names, we decided on ‘:Diablo’ – taking inspiration from ‘Diablito’, which means ‘Little Devil’ in Spanish. Turns out you can have your treat and eat it.
Having launched across the UK ‘:Diablo’ is now stocked by leading supermarkets, and online retailers across the world. Sweet!
