Quarterly round-up: Q1

There’s a lot that can be done in three months. Travel the world, learn a new skill, watch the entirety of Coronation Street’s 11,554 episodes – the choice is yours.

For us here at ilk, the last three months have been jam packed with more of what we do best – high quality integrated marketing. 

The first quarter of 2025 has gotten off to a flying start. We’ve won highly valued awards, gained new clients, and smashed several KPIs. All alongside the launch of a brand new charity fundraiser.

Moving into Q2 offers the perfect chance to look back and appreciate all that we’ve achieved. Let’s get into those highlights.

New Year, New Me.

There’s a reason it’s a favourite phrase among clients. We kicked off the year with a sea of creative work – brand refreshes, packaging work, in store graphics – all imagined and designed by our in-house creative team.

Here are a few of our favourites: 

EMD UK ReachUp campaign – A brand new social campaign designed to help women and minority groups get into fitness.

Waitrose graphics for Samworth Brothers – A range of in-store mock ups for a leading food producer and popular retailer.

Global Motion brand refresh – Rolling out a fresh look and feel across multiple touchpoints, for a global logistics brand.

We’ve got a deal 🤝

Steven Bartlett’s got nothing on us.

There’s been some exciting new business wins this quarter. nobilia Kitchens – the UK’s leading B2B kitchen provider – are one of them. It’s a fully integrated project which will see all of our services: Social and Paid Media; PR; Branding and Digital, each play their part.

Also on the list are industry heavyweights BrewDog – a brand that, following our growing relationship with them, have signed on for an additional social listening campaign. It’s a project that will help the brewers to understand their positioning and reception here in the UK, and influence their strategy for the year ahead.

They’ve also asked us to help out with the Press Office and ongoing PR for Wonderland Cocktails – a brand first product expansion.

Crushing it in Comms.

It isn’t just Creative that’s smashing it this season. 

Across PR, we’ve achieved some fantastic results for our clients:

Overachieved on Residence Collection KPI for coverage by over 50% 📈

Success has hit the Social and Paid department, too:

An award for the Best Use of Social Media at the Northern Digital Awards, for our work with White Cloth Hall 🏅

Over 100K views and 8K likes across our own TikTok channel 

Paying it forward.

We’re lucky here at ilk. A talented, collaborative team, innovative ideas, the opportunity to work with some amazing clients.

That’s why we’re keen to give back. Goodilk – our charity initiative founded last year – is designed to help us help others. It’s led to us running the Leeds 10K, hosting charity bake sales, and supporting an amazing donation collection – all to help raise funds for local charities. 

This quarter, we’ve been raising money to help St. George’s Crypt, a local Leeds based charity for the homeless. The campaign needed the support of our designers, who teamed together to create a range of bespoke Leeds prints and postcards, inspired by the city.

The result? We met and exceeded not only our original goal of £400, but also our stretch target of £500 – money that’ll directly benefit those in need in our community.

We’ve had some fantastic successes as an agency, and this quarter has been proof of how far we can reach. That success is all thanks to our team’s expertise, hard work and dedication. 

After all, it’s the people that make ilk, ilk. 

Here are our very deserving Employees of the Month for Q1, who’ve each played a huge part in our successes:

Becca – Created an excellent video for Sainsbury’s which impressed both the internal team and the client, and achieved first-time sign off – not an easy feat! ✅

Lucette – A powerhouse with new business proposals, and an expert in all things digital PR, Lucette has hit the ground running since joining ilk 🏃🏻‍♀️

Ruth – Always reliable, and always creative. Especially when it comes to creating pitch-winning creative routes 🎨

So, that’s a wrap on a very busy first quarter. From award wins to new client partnerships, we’ve started the year exactly how we mean to go on – dedicated to delivering high quality, creative work, and working collaboratively and responsibly.
