Graphic Designer

The role:

We’re looking for a full time Graphic Designer to work from our head office at Leeds Dock.

About us:

Founded in 1999, we’re an award winning communications agency with offices in Leeds, Manchester and London.

We pride ourselves on offering our clients an integrated creative response, thinking not along departmental lines, but using all the skills and talent we have in-house to come up with the most creative and effective ways to answer briefs and build brands.

When it comes to our client and project portfolio, we’ve always specialised in not specialising. Our philosophy is that the wider the scope of the sectors we work on and in, the more we build our creative insight, knowledge, influence and understanding. Which is the major reason why the work we produce remains fresh, challenging and engaged, regardless of project, sector or client. 

Our current roster spans everything from beer, supermarket retail and boutique fitness, to engineering software, ethical investment and major animation studios. It’s an eclectic list.

What we’re looking for:

Reporting to the Design Director, the ideal candidate will become part of our design studio and work closely with our Creative Account Management team.

Obviously we’ll want someone to be enthusiastic, easy to work with, good with deadlines and all that, but really that stuff goes without saying.

What really matters to us is that you love what you do – because that’s what makes for great work. You need to be willing to learn about new sectors and approach every project with real creative ambition, communicating ideas and concepts as you go. We’d also like you to have an underlying interest in brands, creative trends and aesthetic styles.

You’ll need a hunger to improve and develop as a designer (we can help with that!) and be able to give – and take – constructive criticism about your work, and the work of others around you. That’s important, because right across the agency, and across all types of projects, we want to foster a sense of active creative collaboration so that we can a) make the most of the talent we have in the agency and b) make the work the best it can be.

In terms of the work itself, we’ll want you to have strong typographic/layout skills and a highly creative approach to all aspects of design including both print and online.

Key responsibilities:

  • A minimum of two years experience working within an agency or in-house environment
  • Ability to deliver unique creative concepts
  • A comprehensive understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects 
  • Ability to multitask and work to set deadlines
  • Self motivated with the ability to manage your own time extremely well
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team

Hours of work are 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 5.00pm on a Friday
